EAT

You are spoilt for choice in Scorton!

Scorton has become an eat-in and take-away foodie paradise during these challenging months.

There is plenty to chose from at our various businesses but please remember not to litter our village!

Enjoy the culinary delights of The Priory's restaurant meals and tea van, homemade fayre and ice cream parlour at The Barn, local pies and pastries from the Priory Stores, hot meals, tea & cake at The Apple Store Cafe up at Wyresdale Park, tasty food at Daisy Clough Nurseries tearoom, Stepping Stones Restaurant at Claylands Caravan Park, fabulous local ice cream from the Village Shop or Barn Ice Cream Parlour and finally there are fish and chip shops at Six Arches Caravan Site and Thorpeys.

SHOP

Excellent gifts and garden items on sale at The Barn; great choice of plants, kitchenware and a deli at the Daisy Clough Nurseries; fantastic range of outdoor wear from Bowland Outdoors; everyday items, papers and homemade snacks from Priory Stores (Spar); or why not purchase a new haircut at Country Styling!


There are also regular craft fairs at the village hall and a variety of little shops on Sheep Street at Wyresdale Park including a florist and beautician.

STAY

The Priory in Scorton offers a pleasant stay in the middle of the village. It is a boutique hotel with 8 ensuite rooms and serves an excellent breakfast. 

The nearest camping & caravanning is at Claylands Caravan Park which is about half a mile away with space for statics and tourers. It has a great restaurant. There are glamping options at Wyresdale Park and touring and camping at Wyreside Fisheries, 2.5m away.

Fell View Park is a caravan & camping site is about 2 miles north of Scorton  on a working hill farm run by the Atkinson family. Like Wyreside Fisheries it is a good base for walking, cycling, birdwatching, touring and there is a fishing lake on site, stocked with coarse fish.   

Six Arches Caravan Park is a popular holiday site within walking distance of Scorton village. The site is host to holiday homes, touring caravans and holiday apartments. It has an on-site licensed club, outdoor pool, shop, launderette, fishing rights and small amusement arcade.
