Village News from Scorton

Bikes and Barrows 2020

It's coming!! We will be holding the Festival on 2 & 3 May. Everyone is welcome!

Would you like to get involved in our 2020 Festival?

Perhaps take on a bit of organising, organising musicians or just help make cakes?

Please get in touch with Bikesandbarrows@gmail.com

M6 Closures

Remember that the M6 is closing over the 10 - 12 Jan for removal of a footbridge. The M6 on the following weekend may be closed too. The A6 will be busy and so too might the village - we are not a shortcut!

Charity Teas at the Village Hall

Many thanks to the groups that particpated in our first summer of Charity Teas. Over £1500 was raised for local groups and charities. Scorton Village Hall would like to run the event again this summer so please get in touch if you would like to book one of the Sundays.

Lighting improvements

The B&B Festival, local businesses and the Parish Council have worked closely with

Lancashire County Council to deliver a new lighting project for Scorton village centre.

The new victorian style lighting columns will be in situ from the end of February.

Disruptions will be inevitable but in the long run the new lights will be most welcomed!
