Events & What's On

Scorton is a busy little community in rural north Lancashire. The village has a population of about 300 and boasts a post office and local shop, delicatessen, hairdressers, garden & gift centre with cafe, restaurant and boutique hotel, 3 churches, a primary school, children's play area, picnic site, public toilets, caravan sites, fishing lakes, river and village hall.


The village plays host to a number of events and festivals throughout the year. This includes the Bikes and Barrows Festival, Scorton Steam, Scorton Rose Queen, Christmas Festivals, Sherriff 10k Run and various others.

Sun 17th  - Christmas Carols Service, All Saints in Barnacre, 7pm

Mon 18th - Scorton School Nativity, St Peter's, 6.30pm

Thurs 21st - Carol Service, St John's in Calder Vale, 7pm

Sun 24th - Family Carol Service, Methodist Chapel, 10.45am

Sun 24th - Crib Service, St Peter's, 3pm

Luncheon Club at the Methodist Chapel, 3rd Tuesday every month, 12 noon

Chatterbox at the Methodist Chapel, Coffee Drop In, every Wednesday from 10.30am

Mums & Toddlers at the Village Hall, every Thursday from 9.30am

Scorton Taxi to Garstang, every Thursday at 10.30 from Scorton Shop & Post Office, returns at 1.30pm
