Scorton is a busy little community in rural north Lancashire. The village has a population of about 300 and boasts a post office and local shop, delicatessen, hairdressers, country estate park, 2 garden & gift centres with cafes, restaurant and boutique hotel, 3 churches, a primary school, children's play area, picnic site, public toilets, caravan sites, fishing lakes, river and village hall.
The village plays host to a number of events and festivals throughout the year. This includes the Bikes and Barrows Festival, Scorton Steam, Scorton Rose Queen, Christmas Fairs, Meat Bingo, Sherriff 10k Run and various others.
