Scorton is a busy little community in rural north Lancashire. The village has a population of about 300 and boasts a post office and local shop, delicatessen, hairdressers, garden & gift centre with cafe, restaurant and boutique hotel, 3 churches, a primary school, children's play area, picnic site, public toilets, caravan sites, fishing lakes, river and village hall.
The village plays host to a number of events and festivals throughout the year. This includes the Bikes and Barrows Festival, Scorton Steam, Scorton Rose Queen, Christmas Festivals, Sherriff 10k Run and various others.

Sat 29 April - 11am - Spring Fair at Village Hall, lots of stalls, refreshments served, free entry. MGs on display outside the village hall too.
Sat 29 April - 1pm - Scorton Rose Queen Day, stalls and games on the playing field.
Sat 29 April - 7.30pm - “Music Maestro, Please” Concert of Local Talent at St Peter's Church. Tickets £5, children free
