Events & What's On

Scorton is a busy little community in rural north Lancashire. The village has a population of about 300 and boasts a post office and local shop, delicatessen, hairdressers, garden & gift centre with cafe, restaurant and boutique hotel, 3 churches, a primary school, children's play area, picnic site, public toilets, caravan sites, fishing lakes, river and village hall.


The village plays host to a number of events and festivals throughout the year. This includes the Bikes and Barrows Festival, Scorton Steam, Scorton Rose Queen, Christmas Festivals, Sherriff 10k Run and various others.

6 Apr - Bikes & Barrows Quiz, The Barn, from 7pm

5 May - Scorton Rose Queen Day, from 1pm

5 May - Scorton Spring Fair, Village Hall, from 11am

5 May - Concert at St Peters Church, from 7.30pm

6 May - Sherriff 10k Run, Scorton School, from 10.30am

6 May - Music Concert, playing field, from 1pm

7 May -  Scorton Dog Show, Church Drive, 10am

7 May - Artisans Fair, Village Hall, from 11am

7 May - Live Music, playing field, from 1pm

Luncheon Club at the Methodist Chapel, 3rd Tuesday every month, 12 noon

Line Dancing at the Village Hall, every Monday night from 7.45pm

Yoga at the Village Hall, every Tuesday from 5pm - 6pm

Ballroom Dancing classes at the Village Hall, every Wed, Thurs and Sun night.

Chatterbox at the Methodist Chapel, Coffee Drop In, every Wednesday from 10.30am

Mums & Toddlers at the Village Hall, every Thursday from 9.30am - 12noon

Scorton Taxi to Garstang, every Thursday at 11am from Scorton Shop & Post Office, returns at 1.30pm
