Bikes & Barrows Events 2013

May 4th - 6th 2013. Come to Scorton village and enjoy this exciting festival all about village life, family events and Bikes & Barrows!! The Bikes & Barrows Festival has plenty to suit all ages and lots to enjoy. Refreshments available throughout the weekend. Extra car parking is available in village.

All weekendEnchanted wood in St Peters Church with glades where local craftspeople will demonstrate their skills, Treasure trail around the village (pick up forms from shop), Church Tours and decorated bikes and barrows.
Fri 3 May     Bikes & Barrows Judging Competition, starts at 6pm7pm - Cheese & Wine Evening at the Vicarage, all welcome, donation on entry
Sat 4 May9.45am - Garstang Cycling Club morning ride to Conder Green, meet by the
  arch in the Square, route is 25 miles, all welcome. Call 01253 701909 for details.10am - Flower Festival and Enchanted Wood opens in St Peters Church11-4pm - Spring Fair at Village Hall, lots of stalls, refreshments served, free entry12pm onwards - Scorton Rose Queen Day, parade starts 1pm, stalls and games on the playing field. Refreshments served in adjacent Methodist Chapel7pm - Disco Inferno Night at the Barn, tickets £10 includes meal.
Sun 5 May9.15am - Scorton Fun Run, 1km, meet at village hall.10.00am - Scorton 10k run, meet at village hall, click here for full details11am - Family Bike Ride with Garstang Cycling Club, 7 miles, all abilities welcome, meet by arch in Square. Call 01253 701909 for details12noon & 2pm - Organ recital in St Peters Church12.30pm - Scorton Afternoon Tea served in the village hall12.30pm - Wheelbarrow Racing on the playing field, refreshments served in adjacent Methodist Chapel. Stalls and games for children3pm - Storytime in the Enchanted Wood, St Peters Church6.30pm - Songs of Praise at Methodist Chapel, outside if weather good!7.30pm - Jay Diggins Band & Greenheart, live music at the village hall, £5 entry
Mon 6 May10.30-4pm - Lancashire Food & Gift Fair, Scorton Village Hall, free entry and refreshments available. Over 20 stalls, all welcome.11am, Scorton Dog Show, Church Drive, all welcome12.30pm - Storytime & Singalong in the Enchanted Wood, St Peters Church1pm onwards - Kids Entertainment, St Peters Church, free entry & all welcome3pm - Sheep Racing on the playing field, bring a picnic!
